专家简介：
Siau Hui Mah 副教授，天然产物化学博士，博士生导师，研究方向主要是药物化学和天然产物化学，就职于马来西亚泰莱大学（QS284），是学校的健康与医学科学学院药物发现与分子药理学中心主任，生物科学学院副院长（分管研究生及博士生项目）。是美国化学会（ACS）-马来西亚分会（中央分会）委员，马来西亚化学研究所 (IKM)成员，英国皇家化学会 (RSC)、美国化学学会 (ACS)和国际药用植物和天然产物研究学会入库专家。研究兴趣主要是：1.构效关系：生物活性化合物的设计与合成；2.天然产物次级代谢产物的分离和结构解析；3.油棕研究：棕榈压榨纤维油、油棕生物质。国际上公开发表过80篇文章，主持及参与国家级项目10项，目前主要在研项目：
1.Curcumin analogues with N-methyl 4-piperidone linker suppress immune functions and MyD88-dependent NF-kB/MAPKs/ PI3-Akt signalling pathways in LPS-primed macrophages ；
2.Design, Synthesis, Biological Evaluation and Molecular Docking of Xanthone Analogues as Anti- cholinesterase and Anti-inflammatory Agents ；
3.Surface Modification of Oil Palm Mesocarp Fiber (OPMF) Derived Nanocellulose for Nanocomposite Hydrogels ；
4.Investigating the involvement of the a-MSH and MITF melanogenesis pathways in the depigmenting activity of the polar microalga Chiarella in vitro melanocytes in vitro ；
5.Understanding the Molecular Solubility and Oxidative Stability of Antioxidants Extracted from Palm Oil Processing Residues in Fractionated Waste Cooking Oil Biolubricants ；
6.Unravelling black soldier fly larvae as meat alternatives: Protein quality and modification through physical and chemical processing methods .
